2017 is the year we break ground.
2017 is the year lives will be changed forever.
Kids Inspiring Kids has been laying the foundational groundwork in Uganda for the past ten years and now it is time. Our investment into this country and into these people has always been to establish a forever change. That takes time.
In 2006 when KIK was initially founded, if you were to ask the same people we work with now what their hope for the future was, their answer would be something along the lines of leaving Africa to have a better life. Now, armed with new skill sets and a hope for the future, they realize they can change the current world that they live in. Little by little there have been changes, both tangible and not. These Acholi people are ready to create a life for themselves where they can safely raise a family, and contribute to the community around them.
In 2017, this will now be a reality for them. They can feel it and so can we.
